Exo
of Hermit Crabs
After my hermit
crabs molt in my ISO tank, I usually save the exo that they didn't
eat for the other crabs. I finally took pictures of them to show
you the differences in structure for a few of the species. I've
had successful C. clypeatus, C. compressus, C. rugosus, C. brevimanus,
C. perlatus, and C. cavipes molts but sometimes they leave behind
uneaten exo pieces and other times they don't. As I find more exo
pieces I will post more pictures.

You can see how flat a Rugosus'
leg is in comparison to a purple pincher.
